Demolition Coffee Co. is approaching its 5-year anniversary — hard to believe given its humble beginnings as a pile of bricks and broken concrete. We roamed the Pacific Northwest picking up ideas, then came back to implement, designing with found materials, lumber scraps and a poured-in-place countertop by P’burg’s own Erich Wolfgang. For us, Demolition is a metaphor — we wanted to create something special from a spot that had been long overlooked. Which is how we feel about little ole Petersburg.
